ARCHDALE – Charline Young Cornelison, 76, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Shannon Gray Rehab Center in Jamestown following a battle with dementia for many years.
She was born January 5, 1944, in Guilford County and was the daughter of the late William Edgar and Bessie Raper Cornelison. She graduated from Glen High School and was of the Baptist faith. Charline retired from High Point Bank and Trust after forty-one years of service and always had a smile on her face. She was a great cook and an avid Carolina Tarheel basketball fan. She also loved beautiful flowers, traveling and going to the beach. She will be missed sorely.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father- and mother-in-law, Blaine H. and Melva Cole Cornelison.
Charline leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life, her husband, Hoyle R. Cornelison, whom she married on October 15, 1966; brother-in-law, Howard Cornelison (Emily); sister-in-law, Emogene Yarborough (Jerry); niece, Christy Tingen; nephew, Robbie Yarborough; and several cousins.
Private graveside service celebrating Charline’s life will be held at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.
