Chris Oody

ASHEBORO-Chris Oody, 56, entered in to eternal rest on Sunday, August 5, 2018.

He was born in High Point on July 23, 1962, to Charles and Gail Dunning Oody.  He was a self-employed painter, and attended Christian Temple, as long as his health permitted. Chris enjoyed drawing; listening to country music, shopping for antiques, and western and Indian memorabilia. His true love and passion was spending time with his family. He was a loving son, father, brother, and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, and by a grandson, Christopher Oody.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his daughters, Amanda Patterson and her husband, Seth, and Patricia Oody; his mother, Gail Dunning; his brothers, Charlie Oody and his wife, Christel, and Tim Byrd; his sister, Sandy Byrd; his grandchildren, Mack, Braylen, Phoebe, Desiree, and Evan.

A service to celebrate Chris’ life will be held on Wednesday morning, August 8, , at 11 o’clock, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, with Pastor Rob Coones and Evangelist Jonathan Lambert officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Community Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Wednesday morning, from 9:45 until 10:45,at the funeral home.
