Mrs. Christy Dawn Murr Sellers, 56, resident of High Point, died March 25, 2020 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 7, 1963 in Guilford County, a daughter to Gene and Nancy Jane Atkins Murr. As a resident of this area all her life, she graduated from Guilford Technical Community College with an A.A. degree and later worked as a licensed CNA. She also attended Victorious Life Church. Christy enjoyed life, was outgoing, loved to tell jokes, tenderhearted and above all, caring. It could truly be said, “She never met a stranger.” In 1995, she married Rodney Donnell Sellers who survives of High Point.
Also surviving are her parents of High Point; a daughter, Cori Fowler Dauda and husband Sheriff of Charlotte; two sons, Rodney Donnell Sellers Jr. of High Point and Christopher Dylan Sellers of Charlotte; a grandson, Kyler Glenn Dauda; a sister, Debbie Spell and husband David of Trinity; three brothers, David Murr of Portland, Maine, Ronnie Murr and wife Jane of Trinity and Buddy Murr of Raleigh; mother-in-law, Ruby Sellers; brother-in-law, Erick Davis and wife Lucretia; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to gathering restrictions, a memorial celebration will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Guilford County Animal Shelter, 4525 W. Wendover Ave. Greensboro, N.C. 27409.
