Clara Ruth Walton

Clara Ruth Walton peacefully departed for Heaven on October 5, 2018.    Ruth will be remembered for her kind and gentle heart and love of family. 

The daughter of Hill and Clara Lassiter, she grew up in High Point and retired from the Guilford County School System as a reading aide for special needs children.   Ruth was also a Meals on Wheels volunteer and a member of Northwood United Methodist Church. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Grayson and Robert; sister, Mary Sneed; nephew, Bruce Lassiter; and great grandson, Grayson Watson.  Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 62 years, Paul, of the home; daughter, Paula of High Point; granddaughter, Leigh Ann Weigold of Dubai UAE; grandson, Lucas Nelson of Greenville NC; sisters, Polly Gibson of High Point, Cynthia Clapp of Jamestown, and Peggy Brewer of Lynchburg VA; and several nieces and nephews that will greatly miss their “Aunt Blanche”.

At Ruth’s request no funeral service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do something kind for someone or make a donation in Ruth’s memory to Northwood United Methodist Church, 2409 Ambassador Ct., High Point NC   27265.
