Mrs. Margaret “Connie” Shoaf Howard, 82, resident of Thomasville, died May 21, 2018 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Mrs. Howard was born June 24, 1935 in Davidson County, a daughter to Neris C. and Margaret Cecil Shoaf. A resident of this area all her life, she had attended Hayworth Wesleyan Church and worked as a title clerk at Greensboro Auto Auction. Her biggest job, however, was being a mom and grandmother to her family that she loved dearly.
Surviving is her daughter, Felicia Howard Meekins of Thomasville; two sons, Michael N. Howard and wife Meria of High Point and David S. Howard of Thomasville; two sisters, Carolyn Spencer of Wake Forest and Cecila Huneycutt of High Point; five grandchildren, Angela Inthisane and husband David, Mike Howard Jr. and wife Jennifer, Maggie Story and husband Jon, Mariah Howard and Amanda Howard; and nine great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Bryce, Austin, Caroline, Michael Clay, Matthew, Trinity, Jackson and Jasmine. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Ashely Howard in 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point with Rev. Brian Matherlee officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
