Coy Edward 'Ed' Bowman

Coy Edward ‘Ed’ Bowman, 92, of Archdale, passed away June 1, 2018.  He was born November 12, 1925, in Stewart, VA, to the late Jake and Martha Bowman.  Ed retired from Georgia Pacific as a forklift operator after many years of service.  He was also a musician and enjoyed playing guitar.

Survivors include his three sons, Coy Edward ‘Eddie’ Bowman, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Asheboro, Wayne Bowman of Seagrove, and David Bowman and wife Vennessa of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Brenda Gerringer of Archdale and Barbara Lingo and husband Allen of Illinois; half-brother, Johnny Noah of King; and three grandchildren, Justin Bowman, Emily Bowman and Katie Bowman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale beginning at 1:00pm until the funeral service at 2:00pm, with Rev. Arnold Comer officiating.  Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens in Jamestown.
