Curtis Ray Ritch, Jr., age 91, widower of the late Pauline Brown Ritch, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021.
Born in Guilford County, he was the son of the late Curtis Ray Ritch, Sr. and Dovie Mabe Ritch. Mr. Ritch was retired from the textile industry and was able to travel the world during his career. He loved being a pilot more than anything and held a pilot’s license until he was 85 years old. Mr. Ritch attended Fancy Gap United Methodist Church. He could fix anything and would buy and repair children’s bicycles and donate them at Christmas. He loved the beach and loved life and went as hard as he could go through the end of his life.
Mr. Ritch is survived by his daughters, Linda Schaller and husband Doug of Winston-Salem and Susan Nooe and husband Lee of High Point; a grandson, Jarrod Nooe and wife Stephanie of Lexington; and a great granddaughter, Evelyn Nooe. He was predeceased by two sisters, Frances Holland and Doris Fisher.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Maple Springs United Methodist Church, 6231 N.C. Hwy 22, Ramseur, NC 27316 with Rev. Bob Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
