Cynthia Lynn (Wolfe) Staton

Cynthia Lynn Wolfe Staton passed away on July 2, 2019 at Hospice of the Piedmont, in High Point.  Lynn was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 11, 1948.  She was raised in Jamestown, NC, graduating from Ragsdale High School.

Lyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Paul Wolfe and Hazel and her sister, Phyliss Peterson.  Lynn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Staton and her brothers, Gregory Wolfe and Mark Wolfe.  Lynn also leaves behind her best friend, Sheryl Tart, who slept by her bed each night at Hospice.  She was close to her sister-in-law, Donna Tucker (Mike), Cyndi Patterson and Audrey Pierce (Craig) and many nieces and nephews.

Lynn was an accomplished, artistic person who was also a Master Chef, decorator and hairdresser.  Everyone knew that when Lynn created food, crafts or a haircut, it would be perfect.  She was a rock of strength to her family and friends, never hesitating to console or help in times of need.  She will be missed by all.

Special thanks to Sheryl Tart, Barbara Miller, Dru Sharpe, Mitzi Robertson, Debbie Schmitz and Vickie Grant for their dedication and kindness to Lynn and Ken during her illness.  Their love for her knew no bounds.

Thank you to Pastor Mark Hollar of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church for his visits, concern and prayers during this time of illness and mourning.

Thank you to the medical staff and all the workers and volunteers at Hospice for their compassion and care given to Lynn and Ken.

A Celebration of Life service for Lynn will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point, NC.  Visitation will be held following the service in the Life Tribute Center at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, 27262 or to Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 2817 Abbotts Creek Church Road, High Point, 27265.
