Daisy Irene (Smith) Deaton

ARCHDALE – Daisy Irene Smith Deaton, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at the Hospice Home at High Point.

She was born June 26, 1930, in Brunswick County and was the daughter of the late Curtis Lee and Mary Alice Jones Smith.  She was of the Holiness faith and loved to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.  She was a faithful and devoted homemaker and was one of the last great cooks.  She also enjoyed fishing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, John Paul Robinson, three sisters, and four brothers.

Daisy is survived by three children, Delmas Wayne Robinson and Linda Turner, both of Archdale and Dianne Smith of Fort Mill, SC; five grandchildren, Mark Robinson (Brittany), Renee Pasel (David), Mickey Pittman (Michelle), Matt Joyner (Kim) and Ken Smith, Jr. (Lori); and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service celebrating Daisy’s life will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 17, 2019, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service with Rev. Brono Wolf officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, June 16, 2019, at the funeral home.
