Dale Branson Pierce, Sr.

Mr. Dale Branson Pierce, Sr., 65, of Sophia, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Born July 10, 1952, in Guilford County, Dale was the son of John “Jink” Boyd Pierce, Sr. and Norma Canoy Pierce. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, John Boyd Pierce, Jr. and Michael Pierce. Dale grew up in Trinity, and graduated from Trinity High School. He attended Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church, and owned and operated Back Creek Seafood. He enjoyed playing Rook, dancing, singing and growing flowers.

Dale is survived by two children, Dale Branson Pierce, Jr. and wife, Staci, of Hampstead, and Bambi Pierce Mabe and husband Skip, of Asheboro; his mother, Norma Canoy Pierce; his companion, Shirley Cook; four grandchildren, Hailey Sidberry and husband, Kade, Dakota Hunt, Trey Pierce, and Taylor Pierce; three great grandchildren, Bentley Greene, Haven Eddins, and Ariat Sidberry; and two sisters, Danese Pierce and Beverly Pierce.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Flint Hill Community Church, in Sophia, officiated by Rev. Mike Adams. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
