Daniel Glenn Hayworth, 89, of High Point, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Daniel was born in High Point on July 28, 1930, to the late Burch McCan Hayworth and Delphia Jane Payne Hayworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Franklin and Walter Hayworth; sisters, Opal Spoon, Mildred Davis, Roberta Durham and Mary Alma Hayworth.
Those who knew Dan will remember his smile and his love for family. After retiring from North State Communications, he continued his hobby of farming. In his last years, he was cared for by his wife Bobbie and by Ginger Styles of Providence Senior Care for whom the family is thankful. Before his decline in health, he attended Smith Grove Baptist Church. He shared his faith in God with those around him, and he encouraged his grandchildren to continue following the Lord whom he had come to know and love.
Those who will cherish Daniel’s memories are his wife of 58 years, Roberta “Bobbie” Lee Hayworth; daughters, Dana Hayworth Arrowood and husband, Paul, Jr. of East Bend, Jennifer Hayworth Ray and husband, Micah of High Point; grandchildren, Hannah Ray and Abigail Ray.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice Home at High Point for their compassionate care, and encourages friends and family to donate to Hospice in Dan’s memory.
