Mr. Daniel Gray Teague, 66, resident of High Point, died July 12, 2021 at his home after 3 years of declining health.
He was born July 2, 1955 in Surry County, a son to the late James E. and Vertie Caudle Teague. As a resident of this area most of his life, he had attended Gospel Baptist Church in Archdale and worked as a chemical formulator with Akzo Nobel for forty five years before retiring. He enjoyed visiting the beach, going camping, and working on his “do it yourself” projects around the house. Especially, he loved spending time with his family. In March of 1976 at Gospel Baptist Church, he married the former Sherry Jones who survives of the residence.
Also surviving is a daughter, Ashley Yow of Archdale; a son, Kevin Daniel Teague and wife Ashley of Trinity; two grandchildren, Tristan and Aubrey Yow, both of Archdale; and three brothers, Dwayne Teague and wife Joyce of Lexington, David Teague and wife Valariee of Denton, and Donald Teague of Windsor. He will be missed and loved by many.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Ernie Plemmons officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
