I had the privilege of knowing Darnaye through the 27th NC State Troops (N-SSA). During visits to Winchester, VA we would all sit around the campfire and catch up. Cook a great meal and talk about events of the day and how we were going to shoot the lights out of the targets the next day in full team competition. As I recall Darnaye shot the lights out and we watched.
Really enjoyed talking with Darnaye during the artillery matches. He was right in tune with the gun crews watching to make sure all was done correctly.
Always the Professional and a TRUE "Southern Gentleman".
As Stonewall Jackson said "Let us cross the stream and rest beneath the shade of the trees".
Thoughts and Prayers to the family.

1SGT TEETOR was a true warrior and left an indelible mark on all soldiers that served with him. A true leader and patriot of the UNITED STATES ARMY. I was most fortunate to have his guidance and see his professionalism in the military.

Many prayers and sincere condolences to the family. I will always remember Darnaye and his garage workshop on Carolina St. Darnaye would let me come over and watch him as he worked various projects. He was kind, patient, and always offered to explain methods he was using. He was a fine neighbor.
May God rest his soul and provide strength and support to the family in this time of great loss.
God bless you all ....
Rest in Jesus Darnaye.... we will meet you on the other shore.....
