HIGH POINT – Dr. David LaGrant Barfuss, 80, died Friday, June 8, 2018, at Shannon Gray Rehabilitation Center in Jamestown.
He was born June 1, 1938, in Salt Lake City and was the son of the late Grant and Lola Clawson Barfuss. He was a dentist and operated his practice in California for many years before relocating to North Carolina. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Amy Barfuss’ and a brother, Donald Barfuss.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet Allen Barfuss; four children, Corey Barfuss and his wife, Michelle, Denise Berry and her husband, Dale, Rebecca Hammonds and her husband, Paul, and Todd Barfuss; two step-children, Elizabeth Scott and Todd Strange and his wife, Courtney; one brother, Gene Barfuss and his wife, Treasure; one sister, Beverly Schaffer and her husband, David; a sister-in-law, Pat Barfuss; and several grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating David’s life will be held at a later date in Yuba City, California.
