Trinity – David Lee Fergerson, 76, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2023.
Born March 25, 1947, in High Point, David was the son of Howard Lee Fergerson and Dorothy Robinson Fergerson Blackman. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the US Navy. He worked as an upholsterer in the furniture industry. David enjoyed golfing, working in his garden, Corvettes, riding his motorcycle and trips to the beach. He loved his family tremendously and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Lackey Fergerson; four children, Nicole Allison and husband, Matthew, Rhonda Cranford and husband, Tommy, Karen Baugus, and David Fergerson, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Landon Allison, Tyler Cranford and wife, Amber, Chase Cranford, Connor Cranford, Keri Jolly, Daniel Jolly, LeeAnna Driggs and husband, Brian, and Mikey Fergerson; a great granddaughter, Parker Driggs; and a great grandson, Hudson Cranford, due in October. Also surviving are three brothers, Terry Fergerson and wife, Lynn, Jimmy Fergerson, and Mike Fergerson and wife, Patsy; and his sister, Jayne Burnette and husband, Gil. He was preceded in death by his father Howard Fergerson, his mother Dorothy Blackman and husband, Willis, and his sister, Brenda Woody.
Funeral will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point, officiated by Rev. Richard Callahan. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
