Ms. Dawn Potts Surrett, 61, of Archdale, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at the Hospice Home at High Point.
Born July 6, 1956, in High Point, Dawn was the daughter of the late Thomas Ray and Jackie Hill Potts. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a special aunt, Irene Hill. Dawn attended Hope Church in High Point while her health allowed. She worked as a Dietary Aide at the GrayBrier Nursing Home. Dawn had a great love for animals, and had formerly worked for the High Point Veterinary Hospital.
Dawn is survived by two brothers, Tim Potts, of Wilmington, and Mark Potts, of High Point; three sisters, Wendi P. Haggerty and husband, David, of Archdale, Khristy P. Stratton, of Greensboro, and Susanne Hill, of Kernersville; two uncles, Allen Hill and David Hill; and aunt, Shirley Medlin; two special nephews, Patrick Haggerty and wife, Leah, and Matthew Haggerty and wife, Rachel; a special niece, Hannah Stone and husband, Cody; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 18th, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, officiated by Rev. John Langdon. The family will receive friends following the service.
