Debra (Barnes) Cumbie

Mrs. Debra Sue Barnes Cumbie, 61, resident of High Point, died October 6, 2020 at her home.

She was born April 21, 1959 in Welch, West Virginia, a daughter to George L. and Edith Church Barnes.  As a resident of this area over 30 years, she was a homemaker and enjoyed drawing, coloring, crafts and crochet.  In 1999, she married Nathaniel (Junior) Cumbie who survives of the residence.

Also surviving are two daughters, Retta Barnes of High Point and Debra Smith of Salisbury; two sons, Michael Smith of Florida and John Lee Smith of West Virginia; a step daughter, Danielle Cumbie of Trinity; two step sons, Preston Cumbie of Trinity and David Smith of West Virginia; two brothers, Lawrence Barnes of West Virginia and James Barnes of High Point; and several grandchildren.

No immediate services are scheduled at this time.  Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
