Devon Sherwyn Plentie

Devon Sherwyn Plentie, 49, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Devon was born on August 22, 1969, in La Brea, Trinidad. He migrated to the United States in August 1993, and resided in Brooklyn, New York. He later married his wife Kelly in April, 1998, and they raised two children. He and his family moved to High Point, North Carolina in April 2009.

He worked at Bank of America as a Lien Release Officer.

He was loved by many, and truly loved life. He was caring, fun loving, and had a great sense of humor. Devon could get a laugh out of anyone. He knew the right things to say, at just the right time. He had an innate ability to reach you in a deep and positive way.

Devon is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kelly Plentie; son, Jeremiah Plentie; daughter, Hannah Plentie; mother, Andrilina Plentie; mother-in-law, Teckla Harding-Gilmore; step father-in-law, Stanton Gilmore; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Devon's life will be held on Saturday, February 16, at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Dr., High Point, NC.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00p, and immediately following the service, in the Life Tribute Center at Cumby Funeral Service.
