Dixie A. Johnson

HIGH POINT- Dixie Ahl Johnson, age 65, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 25, 2021.

Dixie was born in Guilford County March 15, 1955 the daughter of the late John Edward Ahl and Loretta Delores Ahl. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a front desk Greeter for The YMCA of High Point for 25 years. Dixie enjoyed riding, taking care of her pets especially her cats and talking with people.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, Richard Welker.

Dixie is survived by her loving husband Gary Johnson of the home and her uncle, Donnie Whitaker and wife Renee of Kernersville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. March 10, 2021 at Cumby Family Funeral Service Eastchester Chapel at 1015 Eastchester Drive in High Point, with the Reverend Dr. Eric Peacock officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from12:45 until 1:45 p.m.  In light of COVID-19 the family ask that everyone practice social distancing and wearing of mask is required.
