Doris Hester McCall Jones

TRINITY- Doris Hester McCall Jones, 84, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 9^th, 2018.

She was born on October 7^th, 1933 in Bladen County, to the late Byron and Ila Hayes Hester. A resident of this area most of her life, she retired from Eckerd Drugs after 36 years of service. Doris was of the Methodist faith, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her first husband; Earl McCall, her second husband, Earl Jones; a son, Andy McCall: her brothers, Ralph, David and Currie Hester, and her sister, Edith Clark.

She is survived by her sons, Charles McCall and his wife, Sherry, Phillip McCall and his wife Pat; her sisters, Ella Gray Huffman, Lucille Daughtry and her husband Richard. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Doris’ life will be held on Thursday, afternoon, July 12^th, at 2 o’clock, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Reverend Roger Carmichael officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon, from 12:45 until 1:45, at the funeral home.
