Dorothy Mae Hollingsworth Sellers, 92, of Jamestown died peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Dot was born September 7, 1926 in High Point to the late W.E. Hollingsworth and Minnie Wardell Hollingsworth. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Dot was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church in High Point. She had retired from Sara Lee, formerly Rice Hosiery and helped in the nursery of Mitchell’s Grove Daycare Center.
Those who will cherish Dot’s memories are her husband of 68 years, James Troy Sellers; sons, Danny Lee Sellers of Jamestown, Timothy Wayne Sellers and wife, Bess of Graham, Jeffrey Lane Sellers of Jamestown; sister, Norma Cox of Hope Mills; grandchildren, Jeremiah Sellers, Jonathan Sellers, Tyler Sellers; great grandson, Ryder Lane Sellers and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Dot’s life and legacy will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church, 301 Hickory Chapel Road in High Point with the reverend Jeff Turcotte and Reverend James Capps. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro.
Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 1:45 pm at the church.
