Doug was born May 22, 1937 in High Point to the Late Whiteford Mayham Mishoe and Ada Ruth Sink Mishoe.
A loving and devoted husband, Doug was married to his sweetheart, Patty Mishoe for 61 years. He was a loving father and grandfather who was full of pride and joy for his family. His passion was classic cars; working on them, going to car shows and cruise-ins. He enjoyed relaxing at the beach and sand in his shoes. He was a dedicated employee for over 25 years at Leggett & Platt from which he retired in 2002.
In addition to his wife, Patty, Doug is also survived by his sons, Chris Mishoe and wife, Alice of High Point, Robert Mishoe and wife, Diana of Trinity; daughters, Suzanne Rabon and husband, Wade of Sophia, Pamela Barrett and husband, Everett of Thomasville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and one sister.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, 206 Trindale Road in Archdale. The Reverend Charles Mustian will officiate the service and burial will follow at Country Holiness Church Cemetery in Randleman.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00pm.
