Mr. Earl Thomas Faircloth, 79, of Trinity, went to his heavenly home on Friday, June 30, 2017.
Born September 30, 1937, in Erwin, NC, Earl was the son of the late Almond and Minnie Tew Faircloth. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lola Ammons Faircloth, step-son, Bruce Anthony Nance, and ten siblings. Earl owned and operated Glamour Chair in Sophia, and was a member of Jewel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed working in his yard, woodworking and building birdhouses. He also enjoyed playing the mandolin and was a member of the Sunshine Boys Gospel Group.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Helen Marie Cagle Faircloth, of the home; three daughters, Brenda McKnight, Debbie Peters and husband, David, and Barbara Henderson and husband, David, all of Thomasville; two granddaughters, Shellie Peters and Corey Henderson; two great grandchildren, Casie Peters and Austyn Henderson; and a brother, Rev. Elwood Faircloth and wife, Shirley. Also surviving are two step-sons, Mark Nance and wife, Vetryl, and Donnie Nance and wife, Jennifer, all of Trinity; six step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 6th, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, in Archdale, officiated by Rev. James Cain. Interment will follow in Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
