Edith Frazier Conner

Edith Frazier Conner, 93, died Friday September 8, 2017 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice Home in Charlotte.  Mrs. Conner was a longtime resident of High Point before moving to Charlotte 27 years ago to be near her daughter.  Born May 25, 1924 in Rutherford County she is a daughter of the late James Robert Frazier and Jane Burleson Frazier.    She worked at Gilbert Shoe Store in High Point and then at Hahn Shoe Store in Greensboro, until her retirement.  In High Point she was a member of Green Street Baptist Church before joining Carmel Baptist Church in Charlotte.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Conner was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, a daughter Cathi Cooper, brother James Frazier and a sister Lillian Davidson.

Mrs. Conner is survived by a grandson Chris Matthews of Miami, Fl. son-in-law Wayne Cooper of Charlotte and a sister Evelyn Dalton Short of High Point  and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Mrs. Conner will be held 2 pm Wednesday in the mausoleum chapel at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend Brandon Ware officiating.  The family will greet friends Wednesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point from 12:30 until 1:30 pm.
