Edmond Clark Muse

Mr. Edmond "Clark" Muse, 92, resident of High Point, went to be with his Lord and Savior and to be reunited with his loving wife on July 16, 2018.

Mr. Muse was born on January 14, 1926 in Penhook, VA, to Mr. John & Mary Muse. In 1946 he married the love of his life, the former Pauline Newberry and from that union had a beautiful son, Mr. Clark "Joe" Muse Jr.  Mr. Muse was a dedicated member of Hilliard Memorial Baptist Church of High Point, NC, for more that 60+ years where he served as an usher.

Mr. Muse was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three brothers, Claude, Dudley, and Monsey Muse; two sisters, Mary Frances Muse and Hazel Ray; two brothers-in-law, Eb and Frazier Newberry; and four sisters-in-law, Hazel Richardson, Madeline Vance, Sylvia Short, and Juanita Byrd.

He was a loving husband, dad and grandfather who was always there for friends & family with a helping hand. He loved everyone and his legacy will continue to live on.

Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his son Clark "Joe" Muse Jr. of High Point; loving granddaughter, Mrs. Sheri (Scott) Payne of High Point; two great grandsons, Sheldon and Silas Payne of High Point; brother, Junior Muse of Radford, VA; sister-in-law, Frankie Muse of Dublin, VA; and special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Hilliard Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Rose officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Floral Garden Park Mausoleum.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hilliard Memorial Baptist Church, 2311 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC, 27262.
