Estelle (Willett) Swaim

Estelle Willett Swaim, 96, of High Point died September 7, 2017 at her residence.

She was born March 27, 1921, in Chatham County and was the daughter of the late Robert and Rosa Brewer Willett. She was a graduate of Bonlee High School and was long-time member of Oak Hill Friends Meeting.  She was a faithful and devoted homemaker who enjoyed the outdoors, flowers and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Swaim, a sister, Allene Perkins, and two brothers, T. Howard Willett and Coy L. Willett.

She is survived by her son, Robert  Edson “Ed” Swaim, and his wife, Debbie, of High Point; two grandchildren, William Edward “Wes” Swaim of Portland, Oregon, and Sarah Elizabeth “Libby”  Swaim of High Point; two sisters, Maye Cheek and her husband, Charles, and Faye Brooks and her husband, Howard, both of Siler City; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service celebrating Estelle’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.  The family will speak with friends following the service at the cemetery and will receive friends at the home afterwards.
