Eunice Irene (Irwin) Harvell

Eunice Irene Irwin Harvell, 77, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family at High Point Regional Hospital.

Eunice was born August 13, 1940 in Guilford County to the late Grayson Irwin and Virginia Irene Atkins Irwin.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; Rhonda Gail Harvell.

She was a member of Bales Memorial Wesleyan Church. She graduated in 1958 from Jamestown High School. Eunice had previously worked for Burlington Industry and Guilford County School System.  She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, listening to music and most of all loved spending time with her family.  She had a Snowman room at her house where she could display her growing Snowman collection.

Those who will cherish her memories are her husband of 59 years, Steve Harvell of the home, her son; Michael Harvell and wife, Karen of Lexington, her daughter; Sherry Harvell Yacuzzo of High Point, her sister; Patricia Taylor and husband, Skip of High Point, two brothers; Charles Irwin and wife, Andrea of High Point, Paul “Butch” Irwin of Alabama, Her precious grandchildren; Michelle tenPas and husband, Austin, Marina Harvell, Emily Yacuzzo, and Shea Johnson and husband Adam.  Eunice has a great granddaughter due in June.

A service to honor Eunice’s life will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive in High Point with the Pastor Carl Pulliam.  Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro.

The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 8:00pm on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the funeral home.
