Mrs. Evelyn Ostic Silk, 82, resident of High Point, died June 5, 2018 at Westchester Manor.
Mrs. Silk was born February 2, 1936 in Sanilac County, Michigan, a daughter to Moses and Ilda Spencer Ostic. She was a resident of the High Point area since 1983, a member of Grace Point United Pentecostal Church, and was retired from Craftex. On November 6, 1954 she married Dale Lee Silk who survives of the residence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Della Lamphman, Stella Cameron and Bessie Foglesong; and one brother, Robert Ostic.
Also surviving are seven children, Cynthia Silk and her husband, Dewey of High Point, Steven Silk and wife Kay of Michigan, Wayne Silk and his wife, Brenda of High Point, Curtis Silk and wife Janie of High Point, Denise Wiles and husband John of Walkertown, Randy Silk of High Point and Lisa Mata and husband John of High Point; two step-children, Dale Silk of Michigan and Gary Moutoux and wife Stephanie of Michigan; two sisters, Wella Fiek and Doris Colburn both of Michigan; two brothers, Melvin and William Ostic both of Michigan; forty nine grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Grace Point United Pentecostal Church in High Point with Pastor Lark Lewis officiating. Interment will follow the service at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
