ARCHDALE – Joyce Faye Wall Patton, 84, died Thursday, October 15, 2020, at her daughter’s home in Clayton.
She was born November 18, 1935, in Randolph County and was the daughter of the late General Kelly (G.K.) and Lula Mary Davis Wall. She was a member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church and worked many years alongside her husband at Patton Pillow and Chair Company. Faye enjoyed cooking, beach trips, fishing, and doted on her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Roy Calvin Patton; sisters, Leigh Cooper, Juanita Cranford and Thelma Dunlap; and brothers, Clifford Wall, Rev. Reece Wall, and Richard Wall.
Faye is survived by her daughters, Sharon Freshwater (Bill) of Kernersville and Elaine Crouse (Dale) of Clayton; son, Ronnie Patton (Kim Cook) of Little River, SC; six grandchildren, Jennifer Crouse (Bridgett), Amber Williford (Rodney), Amity Manuli (Dave), Caitlyn Minnix (Marc), Lauren Patton and Dallas Crouse; twelve great-grandchildren, Bailey, Skyler, Shyann, Saydee, Sawyer, Saylor, Suttyn, Alex, Eleanor, Margo, Michael and Meredith; great-great-grandson, Bryant; sisters, Hazel Kirby of Burlington, Ruth Stanley (Charles) and Brenda Fain (Howard), both of Trinity, Jean Mabe of Asheboro, and Linda Gordon (Lacy) of High Point; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service celebrating Faye’s life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Rebekah Ralph and Pastor Matt Evans officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
