HIGH POINT- Faye Simmons Simpson, 86, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
She was born on February 13, 1932 in Surry County, to the late Jacob and Jennie Atkins Simmons, and had been a resident of this area most of her life, before moving to Vass, and returning here just eight weeks ago. Faye enjoyed yard sales, thrift stores, her house plants and her dog, Bridgett. She attended Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Ivan Simpson; a grandson, David Spivey, and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Spivey and husband, Jim, Doris Thomas, Shelby Warren and husband, James, Sherry Bradshaw and husband, Mike; her son, Chris Brower; her sisters, Mary Ruth Jones and Jackie Aldridge and husband, Joe. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Anita Boren and husband, Dan, Stephen and Ricky Rabon, Dana Whitten and husband, Clint, Casey Puckett and husband, Phillip, Joe Bradshaw and wife, Elizabeth, Michael Bradshaw and wife, Whitney, Nicole Popovich and husband, Johnny, Travis and Brandon Warren; a number of great grandchildren , great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Faye’s life will be held on Friday afternoon, May 25th, at 2 o’clock, at Hope Baptist Church in Sophia, with Reverend Phillip Puckett officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Mausoleum. Her family will receive friends on Thursday evening, May 24th, from 6 until 8 o’clock, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
