Mrs. Frances O’Lean Bragg Hutchins, 93, of High Point, died October 28, 2018, at the Hospice Home in High Point. She was born July 17, 1925, a daughter of Early Venable and Mirtie Milton Bragg, in Fluvana County, Virginia.
Frances worked for Guilford County Tax Department for 52 years, ending her career as the supervisor of the High Point office. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William Thomas Hutchins, Sr., and four brothers.
She is survived by her son, William Thomas Hutchins, Jr. and wife, Nancy Utley, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Melissa Dawn Edlin and husband, Brian, and Ryan Thomas Hutchins and wife, Erin, all of Raleigh; great grandchildren, Brian Scott Edlin, Caroline Joyce and Charlotte Hollis Hutchins; one sister, Eva B. Austin, of Charlottesville, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018, in the chapel of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Jared Stine. Entombment will follow in the Floral Garden Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Asbury Room at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1225 Chestnut St., High Point, NC 27262, or to the charity of one’s choice.
