Frances (Jones) James

Mrs. Mary Frances Jones Hazelwood James, 83, of Trinity, passed away Monday, November 06, 2017, at the Hospice Home at High Point.

Born January 29, 1934, in Stokes County, Frances was the daughter of the late Joseph Reid Jones and Mary Ellen Marshall Jones. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Hazelwood and numerous siblings. Frances was retired from Carolina Business Furniture where she worked for 50 years. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church where she served as the food coordinator and was a member of the Rebekah Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her husband, of 10 years, Dean E. James, of the home; two children, JoAnn King and husband, Charles, and Thomas Hazelwood, Jr. and wife, Deana, both of High Point; two step children, Lisa Edwards and husband, Darrin and Jeff James and wife, Angie; nine grandchildren, Stefanie, Angel, Zachary, Matthew, Lauren, Nick, Hollie, Haley and Lily; three great grandchildren, Skyler, Madison and Gavin; two great-great granddaughters, Adalyn and Brooklyn; and a sister, Ruby Smith, of Pilot Mountain.

Funeral will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday at Springfield Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Bobby Loving. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 until 8 at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Ashley Johnson who was always there for Frances whenever she was needed and was more than willing to do whatever was needed.
