I had the privilege as a young man just out of the military with two babies to help Gene open and operate the 76 station in the early 70`s. He was such a help to me just needing the hours to feed the family. Kat was the love of his life and it was a joy to be around them years ago. He gave me the start on a career in auto motives along with our dear friend Bobby Cross they both will be missed. Kat and family will be in our prayers.

Gene--I would never have finished graduate school without you in my life. People move through your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. You were a reason that became a season in my life. You and Larry always took great care of me when I came by to pick up stuff and I know without you making sure I had some good stuff I would NEVER have been able to pay for graduate school. Rest in peace! Trish

Sherry and Yvonne,
So sorry to hear of Gene's passing. I am praying for you both and your family. He was such a good man and I always thought so much of him, so kind and easy going. He sure did love his little kids when him and Jimmy were in the service station business together and am sure he loved you just as much as you grew into adults. Kinda lost contact but have seen both of you over the years. Just wanted you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love to you!!

It is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Gene. Please accept my condolences and know that our loving God is keenly aware of your distressing pain. The Bible shows that in due time, He will eliminate all suffering on earth, including death. Therefore, you can appreciate how the Bible further stresses the fact as you view this video link:
