George Henderson Smith III

High Point—Mr. George Henderson Smith III, age 68, passed away March, 17, 2020 at his home. George was born in Iredell County to the late George Henderson Smith Jr and the late Annie Elizabeth Ward Smith. He attended English Road Baptist Church and worked for Mickey Truck Bodies for 33 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Karen Adams ; 4 sisters Patsy Scaggs, Sue Brady, Joann Smith and Virginia Lee “Ginger” Walser; one brother Henry Ward Smith.

He is survived by one son George Henderson Smith IV of the home and one sister Judy King of High Point.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at English Road Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Summey officiating
