ARCHDALE-Gladys Bean Earomirski, 92, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018.
She was born on August 1, 1925 in Davidson County, to the late Gaither and Ethel Davis Bean, and had been a resident of this area all of her life. She had worked at Mallory Battery, Manhattan Shirts, and South Lexington Grocery. Gladys was a long time member of Gospel Baptist Church. At her church she enjoyed being with her friends and prayer groups. She also enjoyed reading. Her true love and passion was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her first husband, Gilbert Cox, her second husband, Reverend Stanley Earomirski; 4 brothers, Ottis, Arthur, Ervin and James, and her sisters, Louise Spry and Esther Wyatt.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her brother, Charlie Bean of Lexington; step daughter, Margaret Taylor and husband Doug of Archdale; 2 step grandchildren, Lisa Koster and Jennifer Wilson and three step great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and her close friend, Frances Strader Loman.
A service to celebrate Gladys’ life will be held on Wednesday, January 10, at 2 pm, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Pastor Frankie Matthews and Pastor Steve Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 9, from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
Her family would like to thank the staff of GrayBrier Nursing Home for their love and care shown to Gladys while she was there.
