Kernersville - Mrs. Gloria Kay Ward Davis, 80, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at her residence.

Born May 31, 1940, in High Point, Gloria was the daughter of the late Vernon and Sara Myers Ward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Thomas Rhyne Davis in 2014. Gloria was a native of High Point and graduated from High Point Central High School in 1958. She was a member of Community Bible Church, where she was active in her small group and 55 Alive. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. All who knew Gloria rejoice that she is now in the presence of Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior, along with family and friends that have gone on before.

Gloria is survived by her daughter Jennifer Ellis and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Zachary Edward Ellis, Daniel Rhyne Ellis, Annie Zane Ellis, and Andrew Brown Ellis; her brother, Keith Ward and wife, Martha; and many other extended family members.

Due to health concerns with COVID-19, attendance to Gloria's memorial service will be limited to immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Community Bible Church.
