Gordon James Higley

Gordon James Higley, age 71, husband of Gail Yarbrough Higley, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was a son of the late Gordon James Higley and Louise Brown Higley. Mr. Higley was retired from Delivery On Time Courier Service and was a member of Gospel Baptist Church. He was an avid reader and formerly enjoyed playing golf.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Higley is survived by two sons, Ty Whittaker and wife Dianne and Torin Whittaker and wife Kelli; five grandchildren, Riley Whittaker, Maggie Whittaker, Lia Whittaker, Cait Whittaker, and Garrett Kilgore; a brother, Russell Higley; a sister, Candace Kittleson and husband Gary; and two nieces, Kimberly Johnson and Jennifer Sutton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Gospel Baptist Church, 9042 US Highway 311, Archdale, NC 27263 conducted by Rev. Steve Hill.
