Grace Elizabeth (Church) Greer

Grace Elizabeth Church Greer, 81, of Archdale, passed away, Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at High Point Regional Medical Center. 

A native of Watauga County, North Carolina, she was born on Monday, January 26, 1942 to the late Burl H. Church and the late Katherine Watson Church. After graduating high school, Grace worked for many years as a seamstress at Crystal Furniture in High Point. She was a faithful member for many years at Archdale First Church of God, where she volunteered as a baby rocker in the childcare center. She loved children but most of all she loved her granddaughter, Dawn and her great-granddaughter, Paisley.  Grace was an amazing cook, and she enjoyed listening to bluegrass music.  

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William Howard Greer; her son, Tim Greer; brother, Samuel Burl Church; and sister, Freda Snow Church Loggins.  

Left to cherish her memory are her granddaughter, Dawn Lynch (Jeremiah) of Archdale; great-granddaughter, Paisley Lynch; great grandson, Landon Hawkins; brothers, Paul H. Church (Marlene), James C. Church (Ellen), both of Fleetwood, NC; and numerous extended family members and friends. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Archdale First Church of God with Pastor Hallie Scott officiating. Entombment will immediately follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Archdale First Church of God, 7009 Weant Road, Archdale, NC 27263.
