TAMPA FL-Graydon R. “Donnie” Boles, 68, formerly of High Point, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.
He was born on August 30, 1950 in Elkin, NC, to the late C. Roger and Joan Current Boles. A resident of High Point most of his life, he was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Vietnam, and was a former member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church. In 1985 he moved to Tampa, and in 1986, he established Boles Tire Company, and later worked in Property Management. Donnie was an avid outdoorsman; especially going on long walks, fishing, crabbing, scuba diving, and cooking on his grill and smoker. He was a loving father, stepfather, brother, step grandfather and uncle, and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily Boles and her husband, Tony Lee; his step-son, Woody Hunsucker and his wife, Kathleen; his sisters, Tam Rogers and her husband, Melvin, Teresa Faucette and her husband, Joseph; his step grandson, Austin Hunsucker and his niece, Santana King.
A service to celebrate Donnie’s life will be held on Saturday morning, February 16, at 11 o’clock, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Reverend Harold Shives officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the Randolph County Honor Guard. He will be laid to rest at Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Saturday morning, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
