TRINITY – Hannah Lee “Sue” Grant Hill, 88, died Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Graybriar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born February 20, 1932, in Swain County and was the daughter of the late John Lester and Sally Freeman Grant. She retired from Adams-Millis Hosiery Mill and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Sue loved children, enjoyed family gatherings and going on shopping and lunch outings with her sisters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Johnny” F. Hill; sisters, Mary Holden and Clara Callahan; and brothers, Earl Grant, Joseph “Joe” Grant and Clate Grant.
Sue is survived by her sister, Lenora Grant Powell of Trinity; and was blessed with countless nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside service celebrating Sue’s life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Landmark Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Amos Mashburn officiating.
The family will speak with friends following the service but friends may view in the church from 12:45 to 1:45pm Sunday prior to the service. Due to the current pandemic situation, friends are requested to wear masks and maintain appropriate social distancing.
