Mr. Harry Warburton, 83, resident of Archdale, died May 14, 2022 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Mr. Warburton was born August 31, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a son to Joseph and Lillian Keane Warburton. After serving in the U.S. ARMY, he began his career as a welder in 1963, later becoming a supervisor and manufacturing engineer for NACCO and retired in 2001 after 32 years. In 1959 he married the love of his life, the former Elizabeth Ann Ratchford who preceded him in death in 2019. Surviving him are three children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Industrious, kind, and humble he was well loved by family and friends. He had a passion for figuring out how mechanical things worked and how to improve them. He restored Model T Fords and was well known for restoring speedometers for antique cars. He loved building model trains and airplanes, researching family history, and traveling.
A private service with military honors will be held at a later date at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont at 1801 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC, 27262, reference re: in memoriam-Harry Warburton.
