Harvey "John" Paul Dawson

Mr. Harvey Paul “John” Dawson, 79, of High Point, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018.

Born April 3, 1939, in Charleston, WV, John was the son of the late Paul and Margaret Koegel Dawson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and served two tours during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Macy’s Department Store.

John is survived by his daughter, Cindy Dawson Ray, of Carrollton, GA; a granddaughter, Carrie Wrixon and husband, Craig; two grandsons, Casey Ray and wife, Kimberly, and Christopher Ray; two great grandchildren, Brayden Craig Ray and Abigail Laine Wrixon; and a dear friend of over 20 years, Linda Gleason.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 7:30, at Cumby Family Funeral Service, in High Point. Interment will be in the Cunningham Cemetery in St. Albans, WV.
