Helen Mills

Helen Kay Carter Mills, age 73, wife of Robert L. Mills, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023.

Born in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Berchie Mabe Carter. Mrs. Mills attended Gateway Baptist Church and was retired from Central Carolina Surgery. She loved cats.

In addition to her husband of 56 years, Mrs. Mills is survived by her daughter, Christine Mills Shoe and husband Jonathan; a grandson, Matthew Shoe; a sister, Shirley Farmer; a brother, Gene Carter and wife Peggy; a sister-in-law, Linda Carter; and a brother-in-law, Owen Young. She was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Young; a brother, Wayne Carter; and a brother-in-law, Milton Farmer.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
