Mrs. Helen Marie Thompson Yoder, 76, resident of High Point, died February 10, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. Yoder was born June 15, 1942 in West Virginia, a daughter to the late Edward A. and Annie R. Thompson. She was a resident of this area most of her life and had worked at the High Point Enterprise, Alderman Studios, Alma Desk and as an insurance secretary for several area doctors’ offices. She also was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. On March 4, 1971, she married Robert M. Yoder who survives of the residence. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Thompson.
Also surviving is a daughter, Lori Yoder (Glenn Rachol) of High Point; a brother, Steven Thompson of Lexington; a sister, Mildred Thompson of Lexington; a granddaughter, Alisyn Yoder of High Point; two nieces, Melinda Thompson and Kristina Kinley both of Lexington; two nephews, Eddie Thompson and wife Jennifer of Lexington and Jason Yoder of Archdale; and five great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point with Rev. Timothy James officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Lebanon United Methodist Church, 237 Idol St. High Point, NC, 27262.
