Thomasville – Henry Lamar Watford, 65, passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
Henry was born in Graceville, Florida on August 14, 1955 to the late James Simpson Watford and Evelyn Pippins Watford. In addition to his parents, his wife Carolyn Watford died in February 2019, one brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
Henry served his country in the United States Army. He was a true family man and was always there for his wife, kids, and grandkids. He would do anything to help them anyway he could. He loved his family with his whole being and loved his “adopted kids”. He had a lifelong love with Carolyn as that was the light of his world and everyone could tell. He loved to watch Alabama Crimson Tide games with his family and NASCAR races. He loved having get-to-gathers at his house with all his family and having dinner and he loved to eat peanut butter cake his wife made. He loved shooting off fireworks and listening to music. He loved being able to just go out for a drive and enjoy the company of those in the car. At Christmas time he would make it a tradition on get everyone together in the car and go riding around the different neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights. His hugs were the greatest he always made sure to tell his kids, grandkids how much he loved them, and you could not come in or leave without him hugging you. He would also make sure that if he had any type of sweet cake that he was sharing them...his favorite were little Debbies. He will be greatly missed and is much loved. Roll Tide Roll Dad. Till we see you again!
Henry is survived by his children, Michael Skeen and wife, Casey of Greensboro, Chris Watford and wife, Stephanie of Thomasville, Brittney Duncan and husband, Daniel of High Point, Christain Watford of Thomasville, Angela Lane and husband, Cody of High Point, Sara Watford of Thomasville; fifteen grandchildren and three sisters.
