Bronx, NY – Hilda Johnson, 51, formerly of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at the Beth Abraham Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.
Born January 30, 1969, in Manhattan, Hilda was the daughter of Wilfredo Villafane and Minerva Gomez. She enjoyed singing and cooking for her family and friends as well as looking after her Grandchildren . Hilda loved her kids and especially her grandkids. She was known as the neighborhood mother and lovingly referred to as “Ma” by all who knew her. Her father preceded her in death.
Hilda is survived by her husband Henry Johnson; mother, Minerva Gomez; her children, Cynthia Tamayo, Tony Calero, Tiffany Calero-Ray, Imani Johnson, and Ariel Randall; 10 grandchildren, Dynasty, Destiny, Aiden, Delilah, Christiana, Luke, Delany, Nilah, Nolan and Emma; three brothers, Wil, Chris, and Jose.
The family will have a private graveside at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro. Friends are invited to pay respects at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point from 10:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23rd, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
