Iris Lynn (Meredith) Brown

SOPHIA - Iris Lynn Meredith Brown, 64, died Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her residence.
She was born September 23, 1956 in High Point and was the daughter of the late Basil Lee and Martha Ketison Meredith. She was a graduate of Trinity High School Class of 1974 and a member of the High Point Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a retired expeditor with Steel Case International. Iris was devoted to caring for her husband and spending her time as a wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Ruth Meredith; and a brother, Larry Meredith.
Iris is survived by her husband, Garland Winston Brown, whom she married on March 1, 1981; daughter, Venus Carrero (Gary) of Sophia; sons, Garland W. Brown II (Crystal) of Pfafftown and Larry Wayne Brown of Durham; two grandchildren, Katie Brown and Taylor Brown; sister, Rita Fleming of Winston-Salem; and three brothers, Steve Meredith (Judy) of Sophia, Terry Fleming (Kim) of Mebane and Randy Meredith (Janice) of Greensboro.
Funeral service celebrating Iris's life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 25, 2021 in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with David Kleeberg officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 PM Thurdsay at the funeral home prior to the service.
