Jack "Jackie" Herbert Mason, Jr.

ARCHDALE-Jack “Jackie” Herbert Mason, Jr., 56, left this earth on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 to be with Jesus, after a bout with pneumonia.

He was born on November 14, 1961 in High Point to Jack and Carol Carmichael Mason and had been a resident of this area all of his life. He never met a stranger and everybody that met Jackie loved him, and he loved everybody; especially the girls. He enjoyed playing with his matchbox cars and going to the Mason and Carmichael reunions. His true love and passion was singing Amazing Grace, his dogs and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his dad & mom, Jack and Carol Mason of the home; his sisters, Anita Roberts (James), Myra Angel (Alvin), and Lora Mason and his brother Dan Mason (Donna). Also surviving are 6 nieces; 4 nephews; 3 great nieces and 5 great nephews; and all the other family members that loved him so much. “We love you and miss you”

A service to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held on Saturday, December 9, at 10:00 am, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Pastor Hoyt Mason officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Mausoleum. His family will receive friends on Saturday one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in ICU at High Point Regional, for their care and kindness shown to Jackie while he was there.
