Mr. Jack Wiggins Pruitt, 94, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at Westchester Manor.
Born March 20, 1925, in Greensboro, Jack was the son of the late Marvin and Grace Pruitt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Faye Tilley Pruitt, four sisters and one brother. Jack served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. After driving city buses for over 50 years, he eventually retired from the City of High Point. Jack was an accomplished musician and a self-taught dobro player which he played with the Straightway Singers. Jack loved reading and would read anything he could get his hands on. He also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in the mornings with his beloved Faye.
Jack is survived by three children, Jacquelyn Trepanier and husband, Tim, of Shalimar, FL, Jerry Pruitt, of High Point, and Joanie Moore and husband, Bobby, of Badin Lake; three grandchildren, Scott Trepanier and wife, Jennifer, Meredith Bame and husband, Chris, and Taylor Moore; and four great grandchildren, Austin Bame, Carson Everhart, Addison Bame, and Aria Trepanier.
Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16th, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point, officiated by Rev. Steve Phillippi. The family will receive friends following the service.
