ARCHDALE-James Charles “J.C.” Scarboro, 73, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 06, 2018.
He was born on February 2, 1945 in High Point to Roy and Reatha Mae Scarboro. A resident of this area all of his life, he was a self-employed Building Contractor and was a member of the Church of Jesus. J.C. enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of 54 plus years, Judy Styles Scarboro; his daughters, Sheila Allred and her husband Mark, Christine Stewart and her husband, Jeff; his father, Roy Eugene Scarboro; his siblings, Roy Elwood Scarboro and his wife, Frances, Bill Scarboro and his wife, Gayle, Sharon Stocks and her husband, Mike, Lajuana Spiers and her husband, Doug, Robert Scarboro and his wife, Vicki, his grandchildren, Natalie Smith and her husband, Joey, Ashley Stewart, Rachel Clampitt, Jake Stewart, Aaron Stewart, and Josh Stewart, his great grandchildren, Noah Wyrick, Savannah Dailey, Mason Smith, and Jesselyn Stewart Koch.
A service to celebrate J.C.’s life will be held on Friday afternoon, August 10, at 2 o’clock, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Pastor Jonathan Scarboro officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Thursday evening, August 9, from 6 until 8, at the funeral home.
